CURB DOG FARTS – HOW TO PUT THE PLUG IN THE JUG!
I never knew dogs farted. In fact, I never
even heard of dog farts. I mean, if they poop and pee, why
wouldn’t they fart? Still, there’s something disturbing
about a dog fart. It just doesn’t seem natural. Call me
weird. It wasn’t until I adopted Lily that I understood a
thing or two about dog farts.
One day Lily jumped up on the counter with just her
paws. I heard a
sound – like a fart sound. I thought to myself, “She
didn’t just fart.”
Lily quickly turned around and sniffed her
butt.

I knew then that she farted. I hadn’t smelled anything though,
so I thought it was a fluke. Again, this happened a few days
later. This time, I smelled something foul. I cracked up.
I knew then that dogs fart just like humans!
What’s the Cause of Dog Farts?
Just like humans, the kinds of foods dogs eat will make them
have gas. Here are other factors that contribute to dog
farts:
Eating poor quality dog
food
Eating fart causing foods like
broccoli, onions, cauliflower, beans,
etc.
Eating too quickly. Just like
humans, when the dog eats too fast they
swallow
air. The air goes to the
intestines very quickly in high
concentrations.
4 Tips To Help
Diminish Dog Farts
-
Feed your dog several mini meals during the day instead of
1 or 2 large meals.
-
Dogs eat quickly because they think their food might be
taken away from them. Reassure them by feeding
them in a quiet comfortable area.
-
Stimulate your dog’s intestines by having him exercise
frequently.
Games like Frisbee and tug of war are vigorous activities
that will stimulate the intestines.
-
Either cook your own dog food or choose a premium brand dog
food that is easily digestible.
Dog farts are normal. It’s just as normal as human
farts. No need to
be up in arms!
Unfortunately, dog farts stink just as badly as human
farts. To reduce
dog flatulence, follow the 4 tips above and you’ll be on good
terms with your dog.
